MAEVE CORCORAN ’24, Company Manager
Maeve is a senior Psychology and English double major from Baltimore, MD. She started ballet at age 3 and has continued dancing ever since! She was part of a dance company throughout high school, but also took classes and competed in all styles at her home studio. She is beyond thankful to be dancing for her fourth and final year in Gamut here at Davidson and is so excited to be serving as this year’s Company Manager. Aside from Gamut, she is also a member of Warner Hall Eating House and a Davidson Health Adviser.

Leigha is a junior Psychology and Educational Studies double major from Durham, NC and is thrilled to be dancing for a third year with Gamut Dance Company. Starting dance at the age of seven, Leigha trained in ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, at her home studio, Barriskill Dance Theatre School. At Barriskill, she was a senior company member, performing in annual performances of the Nutcracker, as well as local events in the Triangle. She also attended the pre-professional summer dance intensive at American Dance Festival in 2018, 2019, and 2020. Aside from Gamut, Leigha is a Davidson Arts and Creative Engagement fellow and a member of Rusk Eating House.

Milena is a junior from Las Vegas, Nevada. She started dancing at the Northwest Florida Ballet Academie and later broadened her dance experience in Louisiana and Texas. She has been dancing for 13 years in different styles and has worked with artists, such as Ronald K. Brown, Ballet Hispanico, Complexions, and more. She has also been a part of various performances over the years like The Nutcracker, annual showcases, and summer intensives. At Davidson, she is a Psychology major with a minor in Educational Studies as well as a member of the Warner Hall Eating House.

Ella is a senior biology major from Maine. She began dancing in fourth grade in styles ranging from musical theater to ballet. In addition to annual showcases with her home studio, she has performed in the Nutcracker and Beatlemania with Southern New Hampshire Dance Theater. Outside of Gamut, Ella is on the e-board of PASA and a member of Turner House.

Madeleine is a junior from Miami, Florida and has been dancing since she was three years old. From eighth grade to her senior year, she primarily studied ballet with her favorite styles being ballet and contemporary. She competed in the Universal Ballet Competition with her studio in 2020 and performed yearly in South Florida Ballet's showcase and their production of The Nutcracker from 2016 to 2021. In addition to the Gamut Dance Company, she is the secretary for the Pre-PA Society, a member of Davidson College’s Global Health organization, Ada Cooks club, and Adopt-A-Grandfriend.

Georgina Haspel is a sophomore at Davidson from Long Island, New York. Prior to attending Davidson, she danced for 13 years at Divine Rhythms Dance Studio. She performed in two recitals per year here. She joined the company program at Divine Rhythms in 2015, and has mainly trained in ballet, contemporary, and jazz. She danced on the competition team at Divine Rhythms during her final five years there, participating in several regional competitions per year. Georgina was a teacher's assistant during her junior and senior years of high school for ballet classes with younger dancers. Between her junior and senior years, Georgina worked at the summer camp program at Divine Rhythms. Since her first year at Davidson, she has danced with Gamut Dance Company, where she takes classes regularly and participates in student pieces, and is now choreographing a piece for this year's showcase. Vicky is a sophomore from Pittsburgh, PA and is excited for her first year with Gamut Dance Company! She started her ballet training at age 6 at her home studio, Pittsburgh Youth Ballet. She spent her summers dancing at a variety of intensives and at 14 accepted a full scholarship to dance with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s Pre-Professional program. She performed in pieces such as the Nutcracker at Byham Theater and Benedum Center for the Performing Arts. Aside from Gamut, Vicky works in the Math department, volunteers with Adopt-A-Grandfriend and AADR, and intends to major in Bioinformatics with a minor in Hispanic studies on the pre-med track.

LORRAINE XU ’25, Dance Ensemble Liaison
Lorraine is a junior from Suzhou, China. She started learning ballet at 4, and has also done Chinese traditional dance, jazz, modern, K-pop, and calisthenics. She was a member of middle and high school dancing teams and has had many performances and competitions nationally and internationally. Besides dancing, she also tried new roles like making speeches about her dancing experience, operating a public website of her high school dancing team, and directing a dance and martial arts show for 70 students in high school.

Nora is a senior English major from Hamilton, GA. She has danced since age 4, primarily focusing on ballet but also delving into modern and jazz. She has performed in many productions with the Columbus Ballet, including The Nutcracker and Coppélia. Along with Gamut, she is also a member of Turner Eating House and plays the french horn in the Symphony Orchestra.

Angelique is a senior chemistry major on the premed track from the Chicago suburbs. She started ballet at age 3 and performed jazz, lyrical, and pom styles with her high school’s dance team. This is her fourth year in Gamut, and she has enjoyed strengthening her dance technique, learning new skills, and choreographing her own dances! Outside of Gamut, she is a co-president of STEM Enrichment, a Mental Health Ambassador, and a member of the Pre-medicine Society.

Alexandra is a senior Environmental Studies and French and Francophone Studies double major from a suburb of Philadelphia. She has been dancing since she was three and has trained in a variety of styles. Alexandra is returning to Gamut from a year abroad, where she had the privilege of taking a ballet class in Paris at the Paris Marais Dance School and a K Pop class in Copenhagen at El Studio. Aside from Gamut, she is involved in Dance Ensemble and Catholic Campus Ministry on campus. Alexandra is thrilled to be back with the #GamFam and couldn’t think of a better way to spend her final year at Davidson!

Sarah is a junior from Kensington, MD and has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She danced at Citydance School and Conservatory as well as in her high school’s Senior Dance Company. She also taught ballet at Greensboro Performing Arts and New Arrivals Institute. Her favorite styles of dance are ballet and jazz.

Bailey is a junoir from Houston, TX and has been dancing since the age of three. While she trained at the Houston Ballet Academy for ten years, Bailey delved into jazz, modern, musical theater, and hip-hop in high school. She has completed many summer intensives and choreographed pieces in her sophomore, junior, and senior year for her high school’s annual student choreography showcase. Bailey is pursuing a major in Political Science and a minor in Dance. At Davidson, she is a tour guide, writes articles and designs pages for the Davidsonian, is a member of Rusk Eating House, and is the social media chair for the Jewish Student Union.

Luna is a junior from Rutherford, N.J. She began dancing at the age of 10. During high school, she studied ballet and modern at Manhattan Youth Ballet and attended summer programs with American Ballet Theater, Boston Ballet, and Carolina Ballet. At Davidson, she is pursuing a major in Political Science and a minor in Communication Studies. She is extremely excited to get back to dancing with Gamut after a semester spent abroad in Freiburg, Germany. Apart from Gamut, she is a member of Warner Eating House and the Davidson pre-law society.

She competed with her studio's competition team for 6 years and performed in countless recitals. Outside of Gamut, she choreographs tap routines for Dance Ensemble and works at Davidson's art galleries.

Audrey is a junior at Davidson from Del Rio, Texas. Her passion for dance began at the age of 9 when her mom opened a dance studio. She has trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, and acrobatics. From middle school to her final year of high school, she danced for her studio's dance competition team, earning the title of team captain for two of these years, and went to several competitions and conventions throughout each year. Starting in middle school, Audrey both assisted in and eventually taught dance classes for ballet, tap, jazz, acrobatics, and hip hop to children in preschool through middle school. Audrey annually participated in the Nutcracker ballet from 2012 to 2020, both as a dancer and, eventually, a choreographer. At Davidson College she has choreographed for Davidson College Theatre Department and Dionysia Theatre Group and she plans to minor in dance. Aside from her dance shenanigans, Audrey is a Physics major on the pre-engineering track, the President of Society of Physics Students (SPS), and a member of Davidson Chorale.

Sophie is a sophomore from Winchester, MA, and is so excited for her second year of Gamut! She started dancing at the age of 3 at the Karen Bernard School of Dance, taking ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, modern, and more. There, she was an elite company member, as well as captain of the performance company. She graduated from the Dance Teachers’ Club of Boston dance education training course in August 2022. Sophie is an intended political science major and economics minor. She is also a tour guide and a member of Warner Hall eating house!

Ellie is a sophomore from Dallas, TX, and is so thankful for the amazing group of people she has found in her first year in Gamut! She started dancing as soon as she could walk and hasn’t stopped since. She grew up as a competitive dancer and went on to dance with her high school’s dance company, where she served as captain her senior year. At Davidson, Ellie is an intended psychology major and communication studies minor. On the rare occasion she’s not in the studio, Ellie is also a trip leader with Davidson Outdoors, a Chidsey leadership fellow, a tour guide, and is in Warner Hall eating house!

Jordyn is a first year from Richmond, VA intending to major in Political Science and History and she hopes to pursue something in the field of Human Rights. She has been dancing since she was 3 years old and competed for 10 years, and she is excited to continue dancing in college. Outside of Gamut, she is involved with the Davidson Disability Alliance and DCI.

Vimi is a freshman Political Science major from Atlanta, GA, hoping to do something in regard to diplomacy in the future. She started her dancing journey at 12 years old and plans to keep dancing as one of her hobbies throughout her life! She was part of the British Academy of Performing Arts Company throughout high school, and also tried out summer intensives at Morning Star studio. Aside from committing Gamut, she also enjoys playing piano and singing.

Ally is a freshman from Chattanooga, TN and intends to major in Political Science and possibly explore Anthropology and Francophone Studies. She has participated in various forms of dance over the last 12 years but especially enjoys modern. She served as a leader for her high school dance company for 3 years. As a new Gamut member, she is excited to learn and grow from the choreography of her fellow dancers.

Katelyn is a first-year at Davidson College with an Intended Philosophy, Politics, and Economy major and Gender & Sexuality Studies minor on the Pre-Law track. She has been dancing since age 2 and spent the past decade competing through DeHart Dance Theater. Katelyn enjoys all styles of dance, though her favorite by far is tap! Aside from Gamut, she is a proud employee of the Office of Alumni and Family Engagement and member of Students Against Sexual Violence and Davidson’s Community Garden.
